Autumn Skincare Routine

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel – This was my holy-grail facial cleanser before I discovered the magic of Paula’s Choice. I ran out of my Hydralight cleanser a few months ago, and the timing happened to coincide with Adore Beauty having a sale on Dermalogica products. So I decided to buy this and mix up my skin care routine a little bit. I like to change up my cleanser from time to time, to keep my skin on its toes.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant – This is another product that I have been using on and off for many years now. It’s actually Sebastian’s favourite facial cleanser so it’s something I always have on hand for us to use. I use this two or three times a week to help keep my skin smooth and to help reduce pigmentation.

Kora Balancing Rose Mist – I have been mixing it up lately with what kind of product I use as a ‘toner’ in my routine. I settled on using this because I find it to be soothing on my dry skin. I think this is the second time I’ve had this product in my routine but I don’t think I’ll be purchasing it again because I prefer the–more affordable–facial mists from Mario Badescu.

Darphin Hydraskin Intensive Moisturising Serum – My biggest complaint during the cooler months of the year is hydration. I find the skin on my forehead is prone to dryness (the total opposite of the warmer months when it becomes an oil slick). I’ve received a few samples of Darphin skincare lately, and although they are often quite heavily fragranced I find the quality of the product is so good that I can forgive this.

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Moisturiser – I have reverted to another old faithful for my daily moisturiser. This is my favourite facial moisturiser, and although it smells horrible (imo) it does a really good job as a lightweight but hydrating moisturiser that doesn’t feel too greasy on my skin.
